DescriptionPosition SummaryThe HR Generalist's primary focus is to manage diverse human resources functions within our organizationThe role will work alongside the HR Director in overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, leave administration, training, workers comp, and HR complianceAs a key liaison between management and staff, the HR Generalist handles conflict resolution, promotes a positive work culture, and ensures adherence to employment laws and company policiesAdministering benefits programs, supporting strategic HR initiatives, and fostering a productive work environment are also central to this role.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the HR Director on all matters across the HR function.Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, resume sourcing and screening, and scheduling interviews.Conduct new employee orientations and facilitate the onboarding processes, company-wide.Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management.Oversee company-wide Leave Administration.Serve as the point of contact for all Workers Comp claim.Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.Assist the HR Director in Benefits Administration and responding to employee inquiries.Coordinate training and development initiatives for employees.Provide support to Payroll on an as-needed basis.Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to ensure compliance and effectiveness of HR operations.Provide support to management and employees on HR-related matters.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.SHRM-CP preferredProven experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role.Knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.Familiarity with HRIS systems and proficiency in MS Office.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this positionReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is requiredThis would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this jobDuties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.NoteThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this positionEmployees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by any person authorized to give instructions or assignmentsAll duties and responsibilities are essential functions and requirements and are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilitiesTo perform this job successfully, the incumbents will possess the skills, aptitudes, and abilities to perform each duty proficientlySome requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health or safety of themselves or othersThe requirements listed in this document are the minimum levels of knowledge, skills, or abilitiesThis document does not create an employment contract, implied or otherwise, other than an at will relationship. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
