Assists with the management of clinical, human and other resources within the Emergency Department. Functions as a role model. Provides clinical expertise in evaluating emergency patient assessment, care, discharge and transfer. Provides guidance related to standards of care/practice, policies and procedures, and practice guidelines. Reinforces regulatory standards with staff, physicians and health care providers. Provides direct patient care as needed. Supports/reinforces developed goals and objectives to sustain the department in the changing health care environment. Maintains competence in clinical nursing practice and obtains relevant education.

Shift: 2-10pm Monday through Friday (no weekends and no holiday requirement)


Successful completion from an accredited school of nursing.

Pennsylvania RN license.

BSN?preferred or currently enrolled in an accredited program.

Previous clinical experience in Emergency Department Nursing.

Prior management and/or Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Basic knowledge of performance improvement and regulations specific to the Emergency Department including EMTALA.

Possesses education skills, knowledge of and ability to use computers, solid human relations skills. BLS; ACLS; PALS; CEN;


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
