Financial Data Analyst

Flagship's Treasury Department is looking to grow its small and close-knit team by adding a Data and Reporting Analyst. The Department has managed an $800MM syndicated warehouse facility and has issued over $6. 5BN of capital markets transactions in the past six years. The Financial Data for the Treasury Department will have significant responsibility for the production of analytical reporting and data analysis for various treasury transactions. The role requires an exceptional blend of expert technical skills, problem-solving and multi-tasking for both external and internal capital markets reporting.

The candidate should be comfortable with fast-paced work environment with time-sensitive objectives and ownership of their work. The focus will be in the areas of reporting and business intelligence. This position will have exposure to accounting, risk and IT departments within the organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Create, manage, and run various data and analytical reports off of the Company's data warehouse (via BusinessObjects, Access, and SQL) for the purpose of assisting in capital market transactions, external reporting, and internal data analysis
  • Prepare reconciliations and assist with analysis of cash flows across all securitizations
  • Compile monthly Servicer Reports within the specified time period for all third party debt obligations
  • Assist with providing data, working with accountants, and updating presentations for term securitizations as needed
  • Review current reporting practices and drive efficiencies through recommended process improvements and automation
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as necessary
Qualifications :
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of related work experience
  • Advanced Excel and Access skills, including Macros and VBA
  • Advanced & demonstrated SQL skills, including coding
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues and problems in a sound and timely manner
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
