Risk Operations Analyst III

Description

The primary mission of the Flagship s Risk Operations organization is to manage the operational risk and control program across FCA businesses. This requires the proactive identification and assessment of risk and controls; working with businesses to reduce operational, technical and reputational risk.

The Operational Risk Analyst III is principally responsible for managing the operational risk and control program for Flagship s Indirect Originations and Servicing businesses. This includes identifying key operating risk and control issues; providing support for business leaders and compliance teams on remedial actions appropriate to mitigate or eliminate those risks and improve the overall control environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Risk and control Self-Assessment (RCSA) support for Flagship Indirect Originations and Flagship s Loan Servicing business areas.
  • Analysis and reporting of trends identified with key metrics, significant control events and deficiencies (e. g. operational losses/fraud, dealer portfolio performance)
  • Develop reports and templates to provide senior management with summary view of Risk environment
  • Leverage and interpret operational risk data, produce summary and detail level reporting leading to analysis and recommendations that can be shared with senior management
  • Proactive identification and assessment of risk and controls; working with business units to reduce operational risk
  • Fulfill various ad hoc requests from Compliance and/or senior management, presenting reports, analysis or recommendations emanating from these requests

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor s degree or higher in Finance, Mathematics and/or Risk Analytics background
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in risk management/analysis (finance industry preferred)
  • Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving ability
  • Positive attitude capable of working well under pressure, solicit and incorporate feedback while delivering on high priority, time sensitive initiatives
  • Ability to take initiative, analyze, summarize and communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Proficiency with Excel, including VLOOKUP, complex formulas, etc.
  • Experience with SAP/SQL/SAS a plus
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, forming relationships with internal and external resources
  • Detail oriented and able to work in a high paced, demanding work environment, while managing several requests and responsibilities concurrently
  • Strong organizational and communication skills


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
