The incumbent works as a Housekeeping Aid within the Environmental and Management Service (EMS). Duties will include but are not limited to:
Dusts and polishes furniture; Requests and stocks supplies and equipment needed in all areas; Washes walls, windows, room partitions, ceiling vents and fixtures; Empties ash trays and waste receptacles; Washes and makes beds; Cleans and sanitizes patient care areas to prevent cross contamination/infection; Operates heavy industrial type power scrubbers, buffers, carpet vacuums and shampooers; Removes and replaces draperies and blinds for cleaning; Notes and reports equipment and areas in need of repair as needed; Moves heavy furniture, supplies and equipment in a safe manner; Uses ladders as part of cleaning functions; Handles non-infectious and infectious waste disposal and sanitation; Cleans non-critical reusable medical equipment; Removes contaminated and non-contaminated trash and changes reusable sharps containers. The incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid state vehicle operator's license. You must be able to perform the work of the position without more than normal supervision and your work experience related to the job duties of this position must be detailed on your resume. Your background MUST demonstrate experience in a variety of cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors; cleaning surfaces such as light fixtures, venetian blinds, and counter-tops; and cleaning restroom facilities including toilets, baths, and sinks.
Experience:
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
The position requires performance of work which involves light physical effort, such as that involved in using vacuum cleaners and dry mops; continually standing, bending, stooping and reaching; frequently lifting and emptying waste baskets; frequently pushing carts loaded with waste; and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds. Also performs work which involves moderate to heavy physical effort, such as required to move heavy equipment and furniture, i.e., heavy industrial vacuum cleaners, heavy duty floor scrubbers and buffers, couches, beds, etc., and lifting, carrying and/or moving items weighing up to 40-50 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Usually works indoors in areas which normally have adequate heat, light, and ventilation's. Will be exposed to vibration from heavy equipment and to skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions used in stripping floors, etc., as well as subject to cuts and bruises. Continually exposed to dust, dirt, and disagreeable odors, and is frequently exposed to organic material which may be contaminated and/or infectious and require special handling.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
