Registered Nurse- Clinical Quality Reviewer/Quality Improvement Coordinator

Duties Include but not limited to the following:
Demonstrates leadership and mastery through supporting and providing oversight to facility accreditation programs (including but not limited to Joint Commission, Commission of the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), The Medical Inspector's Office, the Office of the inspector General, and any other regulatory body) the management of medical center policies, and overall quality and performance-based initiatives within the facility as it pertains to performance measures and the accreditation program. Responsible for translating regulatory and accrediting body standards, policies, and strategies into action within the complex interrelationships that exist in a health care environment as it applies to program oversight areas. Assesses the delivery of care through the documentation within the medical record, and other sources, to measure and evaluate the appropriate use of medical resources, timeliness of services, continuity of care, and quality of care as it correlates with established quality indicator benchmarks. Collects, analyzes and reports aggregated data; evaluates and advises leadership of trends in care; participates and leads improvement initiatives that will improve the quality and delivery of care, and educates professional and supportive personnel on improvement initiate. Responsible for providing an impartial and forthright review of the entire Medical Center's preparation and performance for accreditation reviews and overall quality of patient care to the Medical Center's executive leadership. Providing expert oversight and direction on all quality of care and performance improvement program program activities, which includes preparation and post-review improvement activities through collaborating and providing feedback on any clinical or administrative practice or process within the Medical Center surrounding program requirements and alignment with the numerous accreditation organizations who provide oversight for the organization. Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant:
The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. OR The completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. Students should submit the certificate of professional nursing to sit for the NCLEX to the VA along with a copy of the MSN transcript. (Reference VA Handbook 5005, Appendix G6) OR In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement for graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Quality Improvement/Performance Measures/Data Analysis. Demonstrated self-direction in decision-making and clinical judgement. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills especially with public speaking. Ability to work effectively in an Interdisciplinary Team. Ability to lead, prioritize, delegate, manage time, and meet deadlines. Grade Determinations:
The following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade:
Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse I Level III - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no additional nursing practice/experience. Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
